Summary

two-part application for a leather workshop: one for employees to track work and attendance, and another for administrators to manage staff and inventory, automating tasks and boosting efficiency.

Challenges

  • The app needed to be accessible for all workers—young, old, and those with limited digital or educational backgrounds.

  • The admin app needed to replace all paperwork and track operational details.

  • At first, it was unclear how to transform complex paper-based workflows into digital features.

Solutions

  • I created a very simple, icon-based interface that uses minimal text to ensure usability for all users.

  • Worked closely with the client to outline all manual processes and ensure that every necessary feature was included in the app.

  • I visited the workshop in person, observed daily operations firsthand, and used that insight to design app flows that aligned with real-world tasks.
